Wentzville Schools Foundation awards teacher grants

This week The Wentzville Schools Foundation awarded 12 mini-grants totaling $6,000 to District teachers to encourage excellence through innovative teaching. The Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to develop community support for public education and for the students of the Wentzville School District.
This year the recipients represented 12 different schools in the District, and a variety of education programs ranging from kindergarten reading initiatives to technology integration with digital media. The recipients of this year’s mini-grants are:
Every year the Foundation gives thousands of dollars worth of mini-Grants to District teachers and thousands of dollars worth of scholarships to graduating seniors of the District. The Foundation is funded primarily through donations and annual fundraising efforts like the Foundation Trivia Night.
