Rush hour accident sends two to hospital

On Thurs., Jan. 22, at about 5:30 p.m., Amanda A. Key, 29, of Warrenton, was traveling eastbound on I-70, just east of Route Z, in a 1991 Chevrolet Corsica.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Key improperly changed lanes, lost control of the vehicle and drove into the path of an eastbound 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, which was on the entrance lane from Route Z onto eastbound I-70. This vehicle was driven by Todd. A. Brouillard, 31, of Wentzville.
The front of the Tahoe struck the right side of the Corsica. They both traveled off the right side of the roadway and came to rest.
A passenger with Key, Terron A. Clark, 21, from Warrenton, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles by St. Charles County Ambulance.
Key sustained minor injuries and was also taken to St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles by St. Charles County Ambulance.
