Police search for gunman in Wentzville

In Wentzville at approximately 11:30 pm on Saturday night an unknown aged male was shot in the upper chest. The assailant was at large with Wentzville, Lake Saint Louis and St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputies searching for the gunman.
Police converged on the area on St. Patrick’s Church on South Church Street. The shooting apparently happened inside the church. Police were patting down the people inside the church in the search for the gunman.
The condition of the injured man was unknown.
