St. Charles County, MO
The completion of work by the Missouri Department of Transportation to improve Interstate 64 (Highway 40/61) in St. Charles County has created a new means for arriving at the entrance to Quail Ridge Park. While not affecting the park in any way, guests must now exit at Prospect Road (Exit 1C) and turn right on Duello Road to arrive at the park entrance.
Directions to Quail Ridge Park: From Interstate 70, exit onto Interstate 64 (Highway 40/61 South). At Prospect Road, turn right and continue to Duello Road. Turn right on Duello (becomes Quail Ridge Parkway) and continue to the park entrance on the left (approximately 1 mile).
Opened as the first St. Charles County park in July 2000, Quail Ridge Park is 250 acres of rolling prairie, wooded hillsides, and rich bottomland along Peruque Creek. This diverse terrain provides a wonderful backdrop to enjoy the great outdoors. Park amenities include an indoor lodge, group and individual picnic shelters, playgrounds, walking and bicycling trails, two fishing lakes, an 18-hole disc golf course, and an Off-Leash Dog Area. The park also serves as home to the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association Hall of Fame Museum and features several pitching courts open for public use.
Formed in 1997 by the citizens of St. Charles County, the Parks Department currently operates eight parks within its system—with several additional properties under development. Located throughout St. Charles County, these parks offer open natural areas, picnic shelters, camping sites, special events facilities, fishing lakes and much more.
