Representative Chuck Gatschenberger, R-Lake St. Louis, urges residents to attend a public meeting to discuss recommendations about how MoDOT could improve Interstate 70 with truck-only lanes between Lake St. Louis and Independence, Missouri.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Thursday, May 28 at Wentzville’s City Hall.

“I hope all residents will attend this meeting if at all possible,” said Rep. Gatschenberger. “If built, these truck lanes would go right through the heart of Wentzville. Therefore, this project will affect everyone who lives and works in the area. It is important for residents to learn about the project and have their concerns heard.”

MoDOT has published a draft recommendation that I-70 be rebuilt with truck-only lanes in order to reduce congestion and is seeking public input on the proposal. More information on the project is available at www.improvei70.org.
