Gas leak forces evacuations in Wentzville

It has been reported that there are explosive levels of gas in the sewer lines up to half mile from Business Highway 61 and Jack Ray Park in Wentzville.
As of approximately 10:00 a.m. area residents and businesses have been evacuating. Nearby Heritage Schools have not evacuated.
Assist. Superintendent of the Wentzville School District Dr. Melody Marcantonio stated that Asst. Chief Worcester of the Wentzville Fire Department said students were never in danger.
