October 30, 2009
St. Peters, MO
On Tuesday, Oct. 27, Walgreens, located in the 500 block of Mid Rivers Mall Drive, was robbed by a white male subject.
The subject passed a note to the cashier. The note stated he was robbing the store and he implied he had a weapon. The subject fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He was described as wearing a gray hoodie with a white Cardinals tee shirt over the top and also had a visible scratch on his face.
After further investigation, the St. Peters Criminal Investigations Division was able to locate the getaway vehicle used in the robbery and subsequently arrested two subjects involved in the crime.
The robbery suspect was identified as William J. Rufkahr, an unemployed 35-year-old white male from Hazelwood.
The other subject, identified at this time only as a white female, 26 years old of St. Louis, is currently in custody and charges are expected to be filed at a later date.
It is believed Rufkahr is involved in multiple robberies in the St. Louis metro area recently. Those agencies are expected to file charges as well.
The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Rufkahr with Robbery 1st. Rufkahr is currently being held at St. Charles County on a $50,000 bond, no 10% authorized. He is currently on Parole for Distribution of Drugs.
