Triathlon volunteers needed in St. Peters

The 2009 St. Peters Rec-Plex Fall Triathlon, which is being held on Oct. 4, needs volunteers to be stationed at various checkpoints on the running and bike courses. These volunteers will be directing traffic and guiding athletes at various turns.
The City of St. Peters needs 60 volunteers for this event. If you are interested in helping, call 636-477-6600 ext. 286.
More information on the triathlon:
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and athletes are required to arrive one hour before their assigned start time.
Events will include a 500-meter swim, a 21-mile bicycle ride through the flat terrain of St. Peters (ensuring a fast-paced ride) and a five-mile run on the paved trails of the City’s shaded parks.
