Main Street in Old Town to be resurfaced
July 24, 2011
St. Peters, MO
Main Street in Old Town St. Peters is now scheduled for resurfacing from Monday to Wednesday, July 25-27, 2011, weather permitting. The work is taking place as part of the Old Town Main Street Enhancement Project.
Asphalt paving operations were delayed late this week due to the need for additional work to prepare the road for paving, and the unavailability of equipment to do that work.
Main Street will be resurfaced between Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Gatty Drive at the Dardenne Creek bridge. Motorists can expect delays; parts of Main Street will be reduced to one lane during the project. Please drive safely through the construction zone.
Main Street also is receiving many other streetscape enhancements as part of the Old Town Main Street Enhancement Project. Utility poles have been relocated from Main Street, and the road has received decorative streetlights, concrete accents, new curb and gutter, and new sidewalks. The entire project is expected to be complete in August.
