Accident sends one to hospital

On Thursday, April 8 at about 7:10 p.m., Alexander J. Van Walleghen, 19, of O’Fallon, was stopped at an intersection of westbound Highway 94 in the Harvester area in a 2001 Saturn.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jack L. Burgess, 51, of St. Louis, was driving a 1988 Lincoln Town Car, which struck the rear of the Saturn.
Van Walleghen sustained minor injuries and was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to Barnes Hospital in St. Peters.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
