Homeless assistance on the way

On July 2, St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann signed an executive order to expedite the distribution of $465,806 for homeless prevention and assistance. The intent is to get the funds to those social organizations most able to reach people who need it, as soon as possible.
The county will now apply for the $465,806 under the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program of ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act).
The Community Assistance Board of St. Charles County will host a meeting at 7 p.m. on July 15 for organizations interested in providing assistance for the homeless. The meeting will be held in Room 115 of the County Administration Building, 201 North Second Street in St. Charles.
