Portion of Gutermuth Road closed

Gutermuth Road, between O’Fallon Road and Crooked Creek Drive, is closed for construction of a new three-lane roadway. Motorists are being directed to use Motherhead Road, Westwood Drive and O’Fallon Road as detours around the construction area.
No through traffic will be allowed. Signs regarding the closure and detour route are posted. The work will take approximately three months to complete.
This is part of a $2.45 million project to reconstruct Gutermuth Road between O’Fallon Road and Blue Wing Drive. As well as the new three-lane roadway, the project will include concrete pavement, sidewalks and storm sewers.
