Friday morning accident sends one to hospital

At about 5:05 a.m. Friday, Robert D. Branson, 57, of St. Charles was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound on I-70, east of Truman Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol: Branson was traveling westbound when he avoided another unknown vehicle. Branson then traveled off the left side of the road and struck a median barrier. He was wearing a seat belt.
Branson suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters by St. Charles County Ambulance.
