Foundry “In, On, Around Sculpture” Show award winners

The latest exhibition at the Foundry Art Centre features a variety of sculptures from local and national artists. The show’s reception was Friday, July 9. The community enjoyed these art pieces and during the evening Foundry director Laura Hilling announced the show’s award winners.
The main prize went to Alison Ouellette-Kirby & Noah Martin Kirby for their piece “Monologue.” There were also four award winners: Bill Bahmbmann for “Form Study 17,” Emily Dunlap for “Log Cabin,” Megan Eyssell for “A Single To and Fro Motion Repeated,” and Laura Lloyd for “Big Hero.”
These award-winning pieces along with many other sculptures will be on display until August 20. Admission to the Foundry is free. For more information call the Foundry at 636-255-0270 or visit www.foundryartcentre.org.
The Foundry Art Centre is a fine arts gallery overlooking the Missouri River at 520 North Main Center, in the Frenchtown district of Historic St. Charles. The Foundry features a Smithsonian-caliber art gallery hosting national juried exhibitions plus 20 working art studios where visitors can watch the creative process and buy art directly from the artists. The not-for-profit art centre also provides community meeting rooms, event space and a children’s art gallery. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and donations are welcome.
