Foundry Art Centre Enrolling K-8 Art Classes

Art Studio at the Foundry Art Centre is now enrolling students K – 8 for Fall Classes beginning September 9 and continuing through December 9, 2008. Classes are Tuesdays from 4pm – 5:15pm.
Art Studio will offer opportunities for school age children to learn multiple processes to create a wide variety of art. Students will explore three-dimensional art; create murals, draw, paint, collage, and weave. They will learn about artists from all over the world and explore art from various cultures.
Classes are divided into age appropriate groups and the fee is $130 per fourteen-week session. There is a 10% discount for siblings. Instructors are Fran Null and Tricia Wallace, both certified art teachers.

The Foundry Art Centre is a fine arts gallery overlooking the Missouri River at 520 North Main Center, in the Frenchtown district of Historic St. Charles. The Foundry features a Smithsonian-caliber art gallery hosting national juried exhibitions plus 20 working artist studios where visitors can watch the creative process and buy art directly from the artists.
The not-for-profit art centre also provides community meeting rooms, event space and a children’s art gallery. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free, and donations are welcome.
