A family tree is a gift to future generations, but building one can be hard work and is sometimes complicated.

The St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center will host two sessions of Genealogy Basics 101 taught by Cindy DuBois. Cindy has been researching genealogy for over 30 years.

“When you take this class, I’ll put your mind at ease and give you the tools needed to learn about your family quickly,” she said.

Held at the St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center, the first session will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. The second session will be held on Tuesday, March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m.

A $7/person fee includes dessert.

Register for Genealogy Basics 101 at the St. Peters Rec-Plex or online at www.stpetersmo.net/Rec-connect.

Still eager after Genealogy Basics 101?

Head to Genealogy 102, also held at the Community & Arts Center. This advanced class will be held on Tuesday, April 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information about this class, contact Cindy DuBois at 636-397-6903 extension 222.

“There is at least one genealogist in every family,” says Cindy. “If that’s you, come join a class full of people just like you who want to deepen their knowledge of family history.”

The St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center is located at 1035 St. Peters-Howell Road.
