Car hydroplanes and strikes concrete wall

Wednesday afternoon, a woman was sent to the hospital after the car in which she was riding hydroplaned and struck a wall.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Caroline M. Sagum, 82, of St. Louis was an occupant in a 2000 Mercedes CL230 ML, driven by Rollster L. Sagum, a 25-year-old woman from St. Louis.
At about 3:00 p.m., the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70, east of Highway 94, when the car hydroplaned and traveled off the left side of the road. It then struck the concrete wall.
Caroline Sagum sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. Joseph East Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance. Both women were wearing seatbelts.
