Authorities search for missing man

The St. Charles County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Andrew William Bethmann,
a 37-year-old St. Charles County resident.

Bethmann was last seen Sat. night, at about 11:00 p.m., at the Baha Rock Club on Main Street in St. Charles. He was reported as wearing tan cargo pants and tennis shoes. No description of his shirt was given.

He phoned his girlfriend at about 12:30 a.m. Sun. morning and said that he was with friends and was going to St. Louis, stating he could see the St. Louis Arch.

According to Lt. Craig McGuire of the St. Charles County Sheriff’s office, Bethmann’s brother alerted authorities on Tues. at about 4:00 p.m.

McGuire stated that authorities are still trying to identify the friends Bethmann mentioned and anyone else who may have more information. The Sheriff’s office does not suspect foul play at this time.

Bethmann is 5’10 with black hair and brown eyes. He weighs approximately 250 pounds.

He was driving a brown 1999 2-door Chevy Blazer with Missouri license plates 9AJ 86B. The vehicle is in good condition.

Bethmann works at World Outdoor Emporium in Wentzville. Lt. McGuire said that Bethmann’s employer stated he was a good employee and always calls before missing work.

Bethmann lives with his mother in the 3400 block of Ipswich Lane in St. Charles Hills and has a daughter.
