Accident seriously injures St. Charles woman

On Saturday, January 8 at about 8:40 p.m., Karen L. McQuade, 45, of St. Charles, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche eastbound on Interstate 70, just west of Highway 94.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol:
McQuade was traveling too fast for road conditions. While trying to avoid another vehicle, she struck the concrete median wall.
McQuade suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. Joseph East Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance.
McQuade was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
