Accident sends two to hospital

On Wednesday, June 16 at about 12:45 p.m., a 15-year-old male from Florissant was driving a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix eastbound on Highway 370, east of Highway 94.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the right front of the Grand Prix struck the left rear of a 1994 Ford Escort driven by Diane M. Carter, 46 of St. Ann, also heading eastbound.
The Escort was forced off the right side of the roadway. The Grand Prix struck the concrete median barrier.
Carter suffered moderate injuries and was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to DePaul Hospital in St. Ann. An occupant in the Escort, Joshua M. Stapfer, 26, from St. Ann, also suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Robertson Fire Protection District to DePaul Hospital in St. Ann.
