Accident on Highway 94 at O’Fallon Road

Tuesday morning at about 9:10, Edith Felts, 88, of St. Charles, was driving a 1994 Nissan Sentra southbound on Highway 94.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Felts traveled off the roadway to the right and struck a culvert pipe. Continuing southbound, Felts returned to the roadway, crossed over the westbound lane of O’Fallon Road and struck the left front of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, driven by James S. Gaugh, 38, of O’Fallon. Gaugh had been stopped at the stop light on O’Fallon Road before impact.
Felts sustained moderate injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance. The Nissan Sentra was totaled.
Gaugh received no injuries and the Silverado pickup truck had minor damage.
Felts and Gaugh were both wearing seat belts.
