Accident claims lives of two women

A motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, May 26 at about 4:15 p.m. claimed the lives of a St. Charles and a St. Louis woman.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ronda C. Terrell, 52, of St. Louis, failed to yield to a stop signal at the intersection of Lindbergh and Missouri Bottom Road. The front of the vehicle she was driving, a 2003 Mazda Tribute, struck the driver’s side door of a 2003 Honda Element, driven by Carol L. Sanders, 50, of St. Charles.

Pattonville Paramedics pronounced Sanders at the scene. Terrell was taken to DePaul Hospital by Pattonville Ambulance and was pronounced by DePaul medical staff.

Two other vehicles were struck by debris from the impact: a 2003 Toyota Corolla, driven by Dragos D. Bondor, 30, of St. Peters; and a 2006 Toyota Camry, driven by Hassett M. Martin, 29, of Wentzville.
