Missing a bike? Try calling the police.

Lake Saint Louis, MO
The Lake Saint Louis Police Department has collected a number of bicycles that have been reported as found property and they are encouraging people to claim them.
“It is amazing how many people don’t think to call the police department to check if their lost or stolen property has been found,” says Chief Michael Force of the Lake Saint Louis Police Department. “Over time we have accumulated quite an array of bicycles that were just found in people’s yards, in parks, and alongside the streets. Most of them probably belong to youngsters who have left their bikes someplace and forgotten to retrieve them. Mom and Dad might not even realize the bikes are missing. However, we have bicycles of all sizes, so some may belong to adults.”
If you are missing a bicycle, please contact either Office Rebecca Hurwitz or Officer Mark Dennis at 636-625-8018. To retrieve a found bicycle, you will need to adequately describe and identify the property and you will have to provide a photo ID before the items can be released to you.
