Early morning house fire

A house fire occurred at about 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning on Sandstone Terrace in Lake Saint Louis. The home was evacuated safely as was a neighboring house. No residents were reported injured. A firefighter was treated for having an eye issue. The residents’ cat spent some time in a fire truck before being reunited with the owner.
Lake Saint Louis, O’Fallon and Wentzville Fire Departments were all on the scene.
A call was made to a towing company to remove a vehicle from the garage.
Heavy damage to the home was visible.
