Youths can sneak away to the Youth Activity Park on Friday, April 18 during the Kids’ Night Out, while parents can treasure a night on their own. Running from 6:30 – 10 p.m., the event will feature fun activities, games and crafts focusing on the 25-acre park’s many amenities—which include a 33,000-square foot skate park, rock climbing walls, basketball and volleyball courts, an indoor video-game nook and much more.

Typically open on Friday and Saturday evenings only to those aged 12–18, the YAP will be open for youths aged 5–18 during the Kids’ Night Out; although children under eight must be accompanied by a sibling over 12 years of age. The fee for the special program is $5 per person, and the event is limited to the first 100 participants. To register, please check-in at the YAP Front Desk or call 636-561-4964.

Attendees wishing to skateboard or rollerblade on the skate park course or to climb the park’s rock walls must have a liability waiver on file with the park. Waivers may be obtained through the YAP Front Desk or online at www.stccparks.org.

Designed to offer recreational opportunities focused at area youths, the Youth Activity Park is located at 7801 Highway N in Dardenne Prairie, less than one mile west of Bryan Road. Among the YAP’s many amenities are the skate park; indoor and outdoor rock climbing walls; sand volleyball and basketball courts; indoor recreational center that features a video-game nook; paved trail; and open play fields. For more information, please call the Youth Activity Park at 636-561-4964 or check out www.stccparks.org.
