Kevin F. Supple, RSBA, chief financial officer for the Francis Howell R-III School District in Saint Charles, MO, was honored recently by the Association of School Business Officials International with its International Eagle Award. The International Eagle Award—the highest honor ASBO International bestows upon its members—is presented to school business officials who demonstrate exceptional leadership and an exemplary commitment to education and the school business profession.

A life-long learner, Supple understands and embraces the academic as well as financial side of education. His knowledge and commitment have helped the district implement new academic programs even in the face of reduced funding. And, under his guidance, the district launched two cooperative purchasing efforts that resulted in significant savings for districts in the St. Louis area and across the state.

Supple will be presented with the International Eagle Award at the ASBO International Annual Meeting and Expo in Seattle, WA, on September 17, 2011. As an International Eagle Award recipient, he will receive a $5,000 college scholarship to present to a high school student, a crystal Eagle Award, and an invitation to attend the ASBO International Eagle Institute next summer.

The Eagle Awards are sponsored by AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company. AXA Equitable has been in business since 1859 and is a leading national wide issuer of life insurance and annuity products (www.axa-equitable.com).

ASBO International, founded in 1910, is a professional organization of 6,000 members that provides programs and services to promote the highest standards of school business management practices, professional growth, and the effective use of educational resources (www.asbointl.org).
