Fire destroys Dardenne Prairie area home

Firefighters were called to a home in the 500 block of Old Dominion Street in the Keystone Crossing subdivision at about 4:10 p.m. Saturday. It is believed everyone and pets in the home evacuated safely.
As of 4:40 p.m., the home was 100% involved in fire and units were in “defensive mode.” The Red Cross as well as electric and gas companies were on the scene.
Lake Saint Louis, O’Fallon and Wentzville Fire Departments responded to the blaze.
Early reports indicate the fire may have started in the kitchen or garage area of the home.
Keystone Crossing Subdivision has entrances from Highway N and Post Road in the Dardenne Prairie area.
